Most professionals go into salary negotiations without a number they can defend—and leave value on the table because of it. This workshop teaches you how to understand how offers are really decided and how to navigate salary conversations with clarity and confidence. Guided by a headhunter.

The Real Cost of Silence

Most are hoping for a better life, yet very few know how to ask for the salary that fuels it.

Most people stay silent because they don't know if there is room to push. That silence costs the average candidate 20% of their market value. You aren't just losing monthly salary; you’re losing out on bonuses, allowances, and long-term benchmarks. Stop naming numbers that "feel right" but can't be justified. This workshop replaces improvisation with an insider framework designed to secure an increase of at least 30%.

The Four Pain Points

01

The Knowledge Gap

Most young professionals have never learned how companies set salary bands — so they enter the conversation without a foundation to stand on.

02

The Complexity Problem

Indonesian compensation packages include base salary, allowances, bonuses, BPJS, THR, and equity. If you’re only looking at base pay, you’re negotiating with one eye closed.

03

A Harder Market

58% of Indonesian job seekers say the job market is more competitive than last year. In a market like this, how you negotiate is part of how you stand out.

04

The Confidence Gap

Anxiety in negotiation rarely comes from timidity. It comes from not having a clear number — and a clear reason for it. Your market value is not a feeling. It’s data. And data gives you ground to stand on.

MODULE 1

⏱  60 minutes

⏱  60 minutes

Calculate Your Number

Your market value is not a feeling. It’s data — and in this module, you’ll calculate it.

This module is entirely focused on building your salary calculation framework. Your facilitator draws directly from her experience as a headhunter to show you how companies determine what to offer — and how you can use the exact same logic to determine what to ask for.

What you’ll cover:

  • How companies structure total compensation — base salary, fixed allowances, variable pay, and benefits — and what it means for how you frame your expectation

  • How to benchmark your market value using salary data, job postings, and industry references — the same sources a headhunter uses

  • How to calculate your personal salary floor (the minimum you should accept), your target (your well-justified ask), and your stretch (your opening anchor)

The “Build Your Number” Worksheet

In real time, you’ll work through a structured salary calculation template — filling in your role, industry, years of experience, and current total compensation. By the end of this exercise, you’ll leave with three concrete numbers: your floor, your target, and your stretch. All grounded in data, not guesswork.

Facilitator Debrief

Your facilitator then reveals how she would assess the same profile from the employer’s side — showing you exactly where your number sits in the market, and why. For the first time, you’ll see the negotiation from the side of the table that’s usually closed to you.

MODULE 2

⏱  90 minutes

⏱  90 minutes

Negotiate from Clear Ground

Salary negotiation is not a confrontation. It’s a presentation — and this module teaches you how to deliver it.

This module shifts from calculation to conversation. The goal isn’t to teach persuasion tactics or give you scripts to memorise. It’s to equip you with a clear, logical structure for presenting your number — so when a company pushes back, you hold your position not because you’re stubborn, but because you know exactly why you’re asking for what you’re asking for.

What you’ll cover:

  • How to present your salary expectation with a clear, data-backed rationale — so the conversation starts as a discussion, not a demand

  • How to respond to the most common employer pushbacks — “This is our standard range,” “We don’t have budget,” “What is your current salary?” — using your calculation as the anchor, not emotion

  • How to evaluate a full compensation offer — not just base salary — and how to negotiate the total package when the base can’t move

The “Present Your Number” Simulation

You’ll practice delivering your salary expectation using the number you calculated in Module 1, paired with a one-sentence rationale. Your facilitator gives live feedback on clarity, grounding, and tone.

The Pushback Exercise

Your facilitator delivers three common employer responses to the group. You practice responding using your calculation as the anchor — staying calm and logical, not winning an argument. A well-calculated number speaks for itself.
